VACCINATION OF COVID-19 EVERYONE NEEDS TO KNOW

COVID-19: A Major Threat!

The initial cases of COVID-19 were observed in China in early December 2019.

Right after a few days, this deadly virus got spread throughout the whole country. Afterward, in the whole world.

This creates the major thread and panic with rising cases, hospitalizations & deaths.

Causes of COVID-19:

There comes confusion. Is coronavirus disease caused by an infection or bacteria?

As stated by WHO (World Health Organization) coronavirus disease is mainly caused by a virus but not bacteria. It is caused by an infection with SARS-CoV-2 (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) virus strain

The virus that is involved in causing COVID-19 is in a family of viruses known as the Coronaviridae. However, the people who are infected by COVID-19 can also develop a bacterial infection as a complication to it. In either case, the health care providers can recommend the best dose for its prevention.

Most people who suffer from coronavirus have mild to moderate symptoms and they can recover. If one has fever, cough, or difficulty in breathing consult the doctor or contact your health facility.

However, everyone is required to take the safety precautions of COVID-19 to get rid of this virus

How The Virus Spreads?

Normally, we have heard that when a viral person sneezes, coughs, or exhales, this virus spreads from one individual to another.

But how?

The simple answer is that the virus that causes COVID-19 is predominantly transmitted through microdroplets generated when a viral person sneezes, coughs, or exhales. These microdroplets are heavy enough that they can’t hang into the air for a longer period and hence they quickly fall onto the surfaces or floors.

A person can be infected by breaking in the virus if one is within the proximity of someone that is already being infected by the virus. It can be due to touching the contaminated surface.

Precautions of COVID-19:

When it comes to precautions, everyone must have these three phrases from somewhere:

Wear the mask.

Wash / Sanitize your hands.

Maintain social distancing.

How to Wear a Mask?

Wash your hands with soap before you put your mask on and after you have taken it off.

Make sure to cover your nose, chin, and mouth while wearing it.

Once you have taken off your mask, store it in a dry and clean plastic bag. Also, wash the mask every day if it’s a fabric one. In the case of a disposable mask throw it in the trash bin and use another one.

Don’t ever use the masks containing the valves.

Washing / Sanitizing the Hands:

Proper hygienic techniques are effectively able to get rid of the COVID-19 virus. Wash your hands with clean soap after several intervals or sanitize it once you have touched the mask, start to eat something, or after blowing your nose, sneezing, or coughing.

Social Distancing Guidelines:

Limited face-to-face interaction is the best way to prevent the outspread of coronavirus.

While going in public it is necessary to stay at least 6 feet away from the other people. Here are some of the guidelines for social distancing that everyone needs to know.

While walking, wheelchair rolling, bicycle or any other means of communication try to maintain at least 6 feet of distance.

Only visit the stores when it is compulsory to do so, otherwise one can also buy goods from online platforms.

Maintain a proper (minimum 6 feet) distance at restaurants, parks, educational institutes, events, and gatherings and avoid interaction in person.

The virus spreads readily among those people that are close in contact for a long period. Research studies indicate that some people don’t even feel any symptoms at all but are a part of the spreading of the COVID-19.

Since people can spread the virus before even knowing about it. Therefore, it is important to wash hands & maintain social distancing to prevent the spread of COVID-19

COVID-19 Vaccinations:

The coronavirus vaccines are effective and safe to use. In contrast to it, some people might suffer from temporary side effects but these will go after some time.

After getting the COVID-19 vaccination done, the body takes almost 2 weeks to build immunity (protection) against the virus.

In the clinical trials, the vaccines are divided into four categories:

Whole Virus

Protein Subunit

Viral Vector

Nuclear acid (DNA & RNA)

Some of them use the own body’s cells to make the viral antigen. The person is required to get a test whether he has any symptoms or not.

However, if anyone is vaccinated he/she still needs to follow all the guidelines at the local businesses or workplaces.

The person is still required to take the necessary steps to protect himself and others.
